Aamir Khan was signed on to essay the lead role and the antagonist,while Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra were confirmed to reprise their roles as police officers.Katrina Kaif was signed as the lead heroine, starring opposite Khan. He learnt ballet,aerobatics and the French technique of parkour,a method of movement focused on negotiating obstacles with speed and efficiency, while Kaif took paragliding training and singing lessons.Bachchan reportedly lost nine kilos of weight to prepare for his role in the film.Rimi Sen, who played the role of ACP Jai Dixit's (character played by Abhishek Bachchan) wife in the previous two installments of the series, was not approached to play her character Sweety.

Gunday

Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor were given the lead roles of Bikram and Bala, Ali Abbas Zafar revealed.Priyanka Chopra as the lead actress, as she would play the love interest of the male actors and special task force agent in later scenes.Zafar also commented that both the lead actors will be seen as Bengali per the way the film is set, during the birth of Bangladesh.Both Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor debuted with YRF banner, with Band Baaja Baaraat and Ishaqzaade, respectively.The actors had undergone physical training to fit their roles.Actor Irrfan Khan was selected for the role of a Police officer in the film where Khan stated "I will be playing a 'larger than life' character in the film".Later, actor Sushant Singh was hired for a cameo role in the film.

Jai Ho

Jai (Salman Khan), an ex-army officer, likes helping people and beats criminals single-handedly. He was as a major in the Indian Army, but was suspended because of a disciplinary action after he ignored the orders of high command and went ahead to rescue a bunch of children from terrorists. He now lives with his mother (Nadira Babbar) as well as his sister Geeta (Tabu), the two of which are not on speaking terms with each other since Geeta married a Muslim man against her mother's wish.

Gulaab Gang

Initially, actress Tabu was approached to play the lead, but due to lack of funds filming could not be started.Later in April 2012, Soumik Sen approached actress Madhuri Dixit for the film and narrated the story to her.Later, Dixit officially announced her part in the film through her Facebook page.Tabu was later approached again to play the second lead role of politician, which actress in turn declined. Actress Juhi Chawla was later approached to play the second lead and she eventually accepted the role. Chawla, who debuted in Bollywood through 1986 film Sultanat, will share screen with Dixit, who debuted in 1984 with Abodh, for the first time in their common career span of 27 years.Dixit and Chawla were considered as competitors back in the late 1980s and 1990s.In December 2012, actress Tannishtha Chatterjee was signed to play the member of Gulaab Gang along with two other actresses, Divya Jagdale and Priyanka Bose.

Ragini MMS 2

The film takes off from where its prequel Ragini MMS ended which revolved around a young couple Ragini and Uday who went to an isolated house for a dirty weekend and the creepy and paranormal happenings that took place to them there. Uday had planned to make an MMS scandal of Ragini in that house. But the MMS shot goes viral, Uday goes missing and Ragini after that incident became lunatic and ended up in a mental hospital. The Ragini MMS scandal catches the attention of a filmmaker who plans to make a film on it. He casts a Bollywood actress (played by Sunny Leone) in his film to play the lead, Ragini. The film crew goes to shoot the film in the same house where the MMS scandal took place leading to further horrible and creepy happenings.
